Biography

During the 1980's and early 90's, gospel music fans enjoyed the unique stylings of a group known as The Talleys. Their music was widely accepted in churches everywhere and they were honored with many accolades including Dove awards, Grammy nominations, television appearances, and performances in such diverse arenas as Billy Graham crusades, Radio City Music Hall, Praise Gathering, "In Touch" with Dr. Charles Stanley, and churches and concerts throughout the nation

After disbanding in 1993, each pursued their own individual interests in Christian music. Roger and his wife Debra Talley felt their emphasis should be more on their family and raising their daughter in a more "normal" lifestyle which included being part of their local church. In the meantime, their daughter Lauren has been busy growing up and developing her considerable musical talents. Now they have announced the formation of a new "Talley Trio" with Lauren joining her mom and dad. The family has released their first self-titled project featuring some new songs arranged for the family trio and the revival of a couple of Talleys favorites.

The family plans to accept a limited number of engagements in the coming year. Debra says, "when we stopped touring many people assumed we no longer wanted to sing, which was not the case. I still love to sing and I always will sing. We just needed some time away from the grueling schedule that The Talleys kept." Lauren's school schedule and Roger's busy schedule of studio work and record production will limit the number of dates the family sings, but they are excited about getting back to their first love - singing as a family.

Lauren's mature voice surprises everyone who hears her sing. She has a rare talent that could only be God-given. Her stage presence combined with her unique vocal styling portends an unlimited future as a singer and communicator. Debra's beautiful voice and her heart-felt speaking ability make her one of Gospel music's most loved and honored vocalists. Roger joins his harmony, vocal arrangements, and artistry at the piano form the foundation of this musical family sound.
